something about the looming clouds over the direct area in which we were traveling should have made us think “maybe not”. but alas, our adventurous spirit, or stupidity, took us to the north side of the island again today. oh sure, its only 38 miles but its hawaii speed. slow. followed by stop. and then some more slow. thought i could get a few wavos @ a beach just north of kapaa. with a total disreguard of the surf report, we arrived to a trade wind blown out crappy disorganized set of washing machine-like waves. reminded me of home but warm water in which to take a beating. i passed. instead we went hanalei, bummed around on a few beaches, got drenched and came back home, where it was sunny and nice ALL day long. outlook for tomorrow looks like we’re staying here! had our first encounter w/ the mainland via this webcam today too! maybe we’ll call a few of you soon and see if you want to participate! cheers -c
